Jorge Navarro Experienced Broken Leg During Simone Corsi Collison in Australian MotoGP

In the early Australian MotoGP Grand Prix, Jorge Novarro falls and is hit by Simone Corsi at Philip Island. He underwent surgery for a broken femur after the incident.

 

Jorge fell directly into Corsi’s path when he distorted the newly-named Miller Corner's exit. At that time, he is in the 23rd position. After the collision, he slides to a halt on the grass at the side of the track. He was unable to move because his leg was injured.

 

The race continued while the marshals attended to him. Eventually, he was carried away on a stretcher and transported to a Melbourne hospital.

 

Fans were updated about Navarro’s health through his Instagram post. The post captioned his leg condition and the surgery. It also said about his recovery and return home. The team also hopes for Simone Corsi’s immediate recovery.

 

Corse suffered a finger injury apologizes to Jorge Novarro from his social media handle. He wished him well and hoped he get back in the saddle soon. He will also undergo plastic surgery on his little finger and hope to recover immediately.

 

Novarro will join Ten Kate Yamaha in the World Supersport Championship the following season.
