Marc Marquez is Back on the Wagon Ahead Of the MotoGP Test in Misano

Marc Marquez returned on his two-wheel, which increased his chances of participation in the coming week’s MotoGP test in Misano.

Marc Marquez dropped out from the 2022 World Championship in early July because he underwent bone realignment surgery on his right arm. However, now his doctors have given him permission to intensify his training and assess the condition of his arm in the motorcycle.

He returned to the track on a CBR600 at Argon, which he posted on social media. His post was captioned, “Today I can’t stop smiling. After a huge effort, I’m back on the bike again. Thanks to all of you who are always punching me! Let’s keep it up!!”

By being on a bike, he wanted to know whether his latest operation to improve arm mobility and reduce pain was successful. After having a triumphant ride at Argon, his appearance at Misano’s MotoGP test can be expected by his fans.

Moreover, Honda hopes to see Marquez fit enough to complete some laps in the Misano’s tests on Tuesday and Wednesday. Alberto Puig, Repsol Honda team’s manager, said that even if it is not 100, he expects Marquez to complete four laps.

Since the World Champion won MotoGP last season, Honda is lacking behind and sitting in the 93rd position. Further, Marquez will have a new teammate in place of Joan Mir in 2023.

When he recently visited the Red Bull Ring paddock, he confirmed his plans to race again this season. He said that he will return whenever he feels ready, as it is essential to prepare for 2023. He also said that he would return when his chances of riding a bike are more or less than 70 to 80 percent. It is because he feels that the last portion of rehabilitation is to be on the bike instead of waiting for 100 percent.

This test is the last opportunity for Marquez to ride a MotoGP bike ahead of a race weekend until Valencia in November.
